The new Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has solicited the support of staff and stakeholders in reposition the commission.
Addressing staff, religious leaders and stakeholders on assumption of office as the fourth substantive executive secretary of NCPC at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja, Bishop Adegbite appreciated his predecessors for contributing their quota to the development of pilgrimage.
He charged the staff to do their best in making a remarkable development during his tenure as the head of the commission.
Bishop Adegbite thanked president Bola Tinubu for the appointment and assued Nigerians that the commission will overhaul pilgrimages for a sounding testimony.
Earlier, the Arch Bishop, Methodist Cathedral of Unity Abuja, Micheal Akinwale during his charge congratulated the new Executive Secretary for his well-deserved appointment by President Bola Tinubu.
In his message titled, “Be the light of the world”, the archbishop charged the new Executive Secretary to bring credence to the Commission and the body of Christ because he has been called by God to serve.
He also described his appointment as a national call as such he should carry out the assignment with a national spirit, because Christians in Nigeria are looking up to him with high expectations.
