NWC Condemns Refusal To Swear in 16 APC Lawmakers

The National Working Committee, NWC, of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has condemned refusal of Plateau State Speaker, Mr Gabriel Dewan from swearing in 16 APC elected law makers after Appeal court judgement.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Felix Monka stated this while addressing newsmen at the end of a meeting of the party’s National working Committee in Abuja.

According to the APC National Publicity Secretary, the action of the speaker is undemocratic and a contempt of the authority of the Court of appeal which deals with election petitions on House Assembly matters.

The party therefore, urges the Speaker to urgently swear in the members without further delay in the interest of peace and adherence to the rule of law.

The party also, said it is set to commence update of members register across the country.
