Election

Edo 2024 : LP Optimistic Of Victory

todayJanuary 26, 2024

Background

The Labour party gubernatorial aspirant for the Edo state governorship election, Kenneth Imasuagbon says the party has the capacity to win the election. Imasuagbon stated this after picking the Edo State Governorship Election Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms at the party’s Secretariat in Abuja.

Imasuagbon who said that what stands him out from other aspirants is his experience and passion to transform the state added that it is only justice, fairness, and equity for the next governor to be produced by Edo central that has never occupied the governorship seat.

“This form means loyalty and obedience to the party. It means that the Labour Party is the party that is going to take charge of Edo State this year” he added.

“By this form I am giving a yellow card to the failed government of Godwin Obaseki, by this form, I am giving a yellow card to APC and PDP in Edo State. Enough is Enough”.

“We are tired of the suffering. We are tired of the bad roads. We are tired of the insecurity. We are tired of electron rigging, Obaseki has spoken English for the last 8 years. But he has done nothing for the people. So that is why I’m coming. That’s why I left the PDP. The party, PDP in Edo is a monumental failure. I will rate Obaseki 2%” he emphasized.

“What stands me out is my experience. What stands me out is my passion for the Edo people. What stand me out is that Edo people know me and I know them. They want the man we know. We don’t need strangers from Lagos, we don’t need cartels from Lagos”.

“Why I think Edo Central should get the LP ticket is because it is our turn. It is the turn of Edo Central to produce the Edo State Governor in 2024.

The Edo State governorship election is scheduled to hold on 21 September 2024.
