In a heartfelt Christmas message, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, has called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of peace and love as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

Kana, extending warm greetings to the nation on this joyous occasion, emphasized the significance of Christmas as a time for peace, love, and sharing.

He urged all Nigerians, irrespective of religious beliefs, to embrace the teachings of Christ in their interactions with one another.

A particular focus of his message was a call to remember and appreciate the dedication of the Nigerian Military in tackling insecurity within the country. “Let us all remember the Military in the front lines fighting insecurity in the country,”.

Kana acknowledging the sacrifices made by the military personnel, commended their unwavering commitment to their professional duties.

As the Christmas season encourages reflection, gratitude, and unity, Dr. Kana encouraged Nigerians to foster a culture of love, peace, and goodwill within their communities and the nation at large. “Let us remember in the midst of our diversity the essence of this season and strive to foster unity, understanding, and harmony,”

Expressing optimism, the Permanent Secretary prayed that the Christmas celebration would bring Nigerians together as one family, aligning with Christ’s teachings of peace, love, and harmony.

Addressing the prevailing insecurity challenges, he emphasized that with love and unity, the nation could overcome common enemies such as terrorism and other criminalities.

Dr. Kana concluded his message by calling on all Nigerians, regardless of their religious affiliations, to unite in prayer for the military officers working tirelessly to protect the nation.
