The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has described killings and burning of churches in Plateau State on Christmas Eve as a blow to the collective peace and unity in the country.
The assailants attacked
Ruku, Hurum, Darwat, Mai Yanga Sabo, NTV, and Lisham Kwahasnat community in Mangu Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement in Abuja, CAN President commends the swift response of security agencies and urged for intensified efforts in intelligence gathering and proactive interventions to pre-empt and forestall such dastardly acts in the future.
The statement maintains that houses and worship Centers were burnt while property worth millions of naira were destroyed in the attack
Archbishop Okoh condoles with the victims and pledges the Association’s continuous prayers for comfort and strength.
