Nigerians have been advised to extend the spirit of giving to the less privileged in the society especially at this yuletide period.
The Founder of Safe Havens Foundation, a non-profit organization Vanessa Idada made the call in Abuja when she led members of her family to celebrate Christmas with the disability community at Karonmajiji In the FCT.
She said the gesture was to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged to make them feel a sense of belonging.
Idada, said her foundation is committed to giving back to the disadvantaged and showing empathy to the down trodden.

The Secretary to the Chief of the disability community in Karonmajiji, Mohammed Dantani alongside the leader of the women wing, Rabi Mustafa, appreciated the foundation for remembering them at a special occasion as this to restore their hope said the cash donation would be used to purchase wheel chairs and crutches for those in need of it in the community.
According to Dantani, “Despite all the challenges in the country, there are some kindhearted people who have continued to shine their lights on humanity.”
Rabi Mustafa however called on the government to ensure capital was made available for them to utilize their skills so as to take them off the streets.
Highlight of the celebration at the Karonnajiji Disability community was donation of 1000 dollars to purchase wheel chairs and crutches as well as food items.
