Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake has called on Nigerian youths to be innovative and creative in their quest to realize their dreams.
Dr Alake stated this at the commissioning of a Factory at Idu Industrial Estate, Abuja.
He described the Factory as a pacesetter of home grown technology that synchronizes with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda to integrate the youths into the dream and vision of Nigeria’s economic emancipation.
Alake stressed that this is in view of government’s deliberate policy to entrench an ennabling environment for entrepreneurship to flourish.
Speaking further on the importance of growing the youths into a force for entrepreneurship and self-reliance, the Minister urged the citizenry to emulate the firm for not only dreaming big but embarking on bold endeavors to achieve clear objectives- thereby reaffiming government’s commitment to create equal opportunities and conducive environment that will enable entrepreneurs to flourish for the betterment of the country.
Dr Alake while acknowledging the contribution of the youths to national growth explained that they constitute the pillar of any society.
”A restive population of youths with no constructive avenue for engagement will lead to disaster. It is to curb this that President Bola Tinubu decided to engage them as the drivers of inculcating the values of hard work, which will dovetail into economic rejuvenation” the Minister stressed.
Dr Alake therefore admonished Nigerian youths to persevere and be courageously patient as they go through the policy gestation period of the present administration, to reap the results of positive implementation, monitoring and execution of critical strategies that will drive the economy for national growth.
Earlier, President Bola Tinubu and both ministers of the ministry of Petroleum Resources who were represented by Mr. Amoru Musari from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources said the ceremony represents a significant landmark in the quest to promote a Research culture in the oil and gas industry through the nurturing of innovation driven startup companies.
He noted that one of the proposals that have benefited from the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Research and Innovation intervention is the Amal Technology gas leak device, which adopted Internet of Things (IOT) to introduce into the market a device that generates short message system (SMS).
On his part, Chairman of Amal Technology Board, Mr Nuhu Yakubu, stated that the commissioning signifies a milestone in the journey of Technology advancement and innovation.
Also, the Founder of Amal Technologies, Mr Shehu Tijjani Abdullahi, said Tech facility is equipped with Printed Circuit Boards and Assembly (PCBA) equipment, R & D equipment, as well as a high-capacity Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) assembly line, a calibrator as well as an injection Mold machine.
