Off Cycle Elections : FRSC Tasks Personnel On Professionalism

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Dauda Ali-Biu has warned personnel deployed for the off cycle Governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo states this Saturday to exhibit professionalism and avoid any temptation that can lead to abuse of the rights of electorates.

In a statement by the Deputy Corps Marshal, Bisi Kazeem in Abuja, the FRSC Corps Marshal says One Thousand Five Hundred personnel, Thirty Five Operational Vehicles including Tow trucks and ambulances have been deployed to each of the Three States to strengthen enforcement of restrictions during the exercise.

The Corps Marshal emphasizes the need for the personnel to ensure effective collaboration with the Nigerian police force, Independent National Electoral Commission and other security agencies in the enforcement of restrictions of vehicular movement.

Dauda Ali-Biu however appeals to electorates in the three States to comply with all regulations including restrictions as will be announced and wishes the states peaceful, free and fair elections.
