Religious Organizations have been urged to join hands with the present administration in the on going fight against corruption, poverty, disease and insecurity in the country.

President Christain Association of Nigeria, CAN Most Reverend Daniel Okoh gave the advise at the opening of the annual Anglican Church Commonwealth Conference in Abuja.

Archbishop Okoh said Christains must not only pray but pull resources together to defeat all the challenges facing humanity.

He assured that the Association would continue to raise a prophetic voice to guide those in Authority and also pray for them to succeed.

According to Most Reverend Daniel Okoh, CAN remains non partisan and must not be seen as an opposition to the government of the day.

Earlier, the former Primate, Nicholas Okoh appealed to President Bola Tinubu to give special attention to the welfare of Nigerians as the legal battle against election was over.

Archbishop Okoh also stressed the need for the Federal Government to find solution to end the “Japa” Syndrome by youths in the quest for greener pastures.

The former Primate believed that provisions of empowerment and job opportunities for youths would address restiveness and insecurity in the country.

In his opening remarks, Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Henry Ndukuba said the Church has established Nomadic and Diaspora Missions to reach out to those that have moved from one part of the country to another.

According to him, those considered under the new mission are people that moved in search of a better life, those displaced by insecurity among other reasons.

Over Five Thousand Bishops and members of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion within and outside the country are attending the four day program with the theme ‘ What Is That In Your Hand”.
