He said, the NBBF has not asked Mike Brown to resign, and neither has the Sacramento Kings head coach ask to step down.
“Mike Brown For all practical purposes is the national coach.
We have not asked him to stop, he has not asked to resign.”
The NBBF president also added that Mike Brown who joined D’Tigers while still the assistant coach of Golden State Warriors, has been busy with his new position as Sacramento Kings head coach.
“What we also know is that Mike Brown is the head coach Sacramento Kings at this time; when we engaged him as our national coach, he was assistant head coach with the Warriors and he had quit a lot of time for us….
If you have followed the trend of NBA basketball last year you will see Sacramento Kings made it to the conference league finals…..
I know he had a very hectic year last year I also know that he did not have as much rest period, but having said that we have not said he is not our coach he has not resigned, so he maintains his stand as our official head coach”
In the past tournaments NBBF has had to call on coaches they trust who are available at different times of the season due to Mike Browns absence.
In the past 4 to 5 over 80 basketball players have had the privilege to dawn on the green and white of D’Tigers.
