Katsina: NCoS Re- arrests Inmate

The Nigeria Correctional Service, Katsina State Command has re- arrested the principal suspect among the two Awaiting trial inmates that escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre on 17th October 2023.

A statement by the Command’s Public Relations officer Najibullah Idris says the inmate, Abba Kala was arrested during a search party with other security agencies in Katsina State.

The statement says the Nigerian Correctional Service Katsina state command is tracking the other inmate using the Service’s e-tracking system as well as collaboration with sister security agencies, and will soon take him into custody.

According to the statement, the Controller General of Corrections, Haliru Nababa appreciates sister security agencies for a functional synergy that led to recapturing the inmate and assures the public that there is no cause for alarm as the situation is under control.
