Nigeria’s First Female Postmaster-General Assumes Office

The new Postmaster-General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Postal Service, NIPOST, Miss Tola Odeyemi has assumed duty at the NIPOST Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.

At the assumption of duty in Abuja, Miss Odeyemi pledged to build on the legacy of her predecessors to advance the postal organization into its rightful position.

Miss Odeyemi is an experienced engineer with over 15 years of wealth of knowledge spanning from both the public and private sectors in Tech policy and Government Regulatory roles.

Miss Odeyemi is the first female to hold this position since NIPOST’s existence.

Her resumption at the NIPOST corporate Headquarters had been greeted with protests by some staff of the organization who felt the former PMG was unduly removed from office.
