Nasarawa State Government says it will remain committed to supporting security agencies to enhance their operation of tackling crimes in the state.
Governor Abdullahi Sule stated this when he visited the 177 Guards Battalion in Keffi to see the rescued students of Nasarawa State University who were kidnapped last Tuesday.
The Governor commended Officers and men of the Battalion for the swift action that led to the rescue of the four students.
Governor Abdullahi Sule while calling on the school authorities to step up efforts towards providing adequate security in and around the university community said the state government would leverage the active collaboration among security agencies in providing support for prompt response to distress calls.
He commended the initiative adopted by the military and other outfits to improve security in all the educational institutions across the state.
Governor Sule during the visit interacted with the four rescued students and their parents.
The four undergraduate students of Nasarawa State University were kidnapped when unknown gunmen invaded their residence in Unguwar Kare area of Keffi in the early hours of last Tuesday.
