Troops of the 177 Guard Battalion of the Nigerian Army have rescued the four kidnapped female undergraduate students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
The rescue of the students followed a sustained pressure on the kidnappers which led to their release at the surrounding bush of Unguwar Gauta in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The names of the rescued students who were kidnapped last Tuesday at their residence in Unguwar Kare within the neighborhood to the Nasarawa State University Keffi are Rahila Hanya – SLT 100 Level, Josephine Gershon – Computer Science Department, 100 Level, Rosemary Samuel – Business Admin 100 Level and
Goodness Samuel – Geography Department 100 Level.
The victims were expected to reunite with their families after undergoing medical examinations.
Efforts to get further comments on the incident from the University authority proved abortive.
