FIBA Women’s AfroBasket champions D’Tigress, have been drawn against USA in the Women’s Olympic Qualifiers.
Draws for Paris 2024 FIBA basketball qualifying tournaments took place in Hungary on Thursday.
D’Tigress were seeded in Pot 3 due to their 11th ranked position in the world.
The Nigerian ladies were drawn in Tournament 2, which will be held in Antwerp, Belgium from February 8, 2024.
Coach Rena Wakama ladies are placed in group B with Belgium, Senegal and the most decorated female basketball team USA.

The FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments will be held from February 8 to 11, 2024 in four cities, namely Antwerp, Belgium; Belem, Brazil; Sopron, Hungary; and a city to be confirmed in China.
There are 10 Olympic tickets available since France are already assured of their spot as the Olympic hosts and US as the last FIBA Women’s world champions in 2022.
Both have a guaranteed spot in Paris but will take part in the qualifying tournaments.
All group B teams currently fall from 1 – 20 in the FIBA rankings.
D’Tigress look to qualify their third Olympic Games in Paris, Athens 2004 and London 2012 Games were there previous appearances.
