Mohbad Death: Court Grants Police Request To Further Remand Naira Marley, Others

A Lagos State Chief Magistrates’ Court presiding in Sabo-Yaba has ordered the remand of Abdulazeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, and three others to enable police to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of an artist, Oladimeji  Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.

The others remanded are Ogedengbe Fisayo, Ayobami Sadiq, and Samson Eletu.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Adeola Olatubosun, gave the order following the police application seeking further remand for 21 days in their custody in the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCID.

She also ordered that the suspects should be granted access to medicals and lawyers of their choice.

Earlier, DSP Umaru Bello and ASP Augustine Nwabuisi, who led the legal officers for the police, urged the court to remand the men for 30 days to establish that an offence was committed.:

Further hearing has been adjourned till October 25.

Naira Marley was taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities late Tuesday, following his submission.

While the singer has been accused of having a hand in Mohbad’s death, he vowed to clear his name and had before the police’s statement confirmed his arrival in Nigeria to help the probe into his former signee’s demise.

Mohbad died on September 12 in Lagos
