NFF Appoints New NNL Chief Operating Officer

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Dr. Ayo Hammed Abdulrahman as the Chief Operating Officer of Nigeria National League (NNL).

Dr. Abdulrahman takes the place of Emmanuel Adesanya who previously occupied the position in the nation’s most important league.

Adesanya retired from the Federal Civil Service after attaining the age of 60 years.

The new Chief Operating Office previously worked as deputy director in the NFF Competitions Department.

He also previously worked for many years as chief operating officer of the NNL in 2008 to 2013, and also for the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) in the same capacity.

Also he was appointed into the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Nigeria Premier Football league (NPFL) from 2022 to 2023 before his latest appointment to man the NNL secretariat.

In  2000- 2003 Dr. Abdulrahman was Assistant secretary Amateur League, he grew to become Assistant Secretary (2003-2007) Pro- League pioneer staff of the Nigeria Premier League.

The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed Dr Abdelrahman’s appointment on the 28 of September,2023 in a letter sent to him.

Dr. Abdulrahman’s 23 years of Football experience as an administrator expects to bear more fruit at the NNL ,as he takes over from Emmanuel Adesanya.
