FCT-IRS Holds Customer Service Week, Appreciates Taxpayers Contributions

The Executive Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) Mr. Haruna Abdullahi, has commended all taxpayers for their contribution in the territory.

He gave the commendation during the 2023 Customer Service Week tagged “Team Service TM” in Abuja.

Mr Haruna noted that the week is dedicated to acknowledge the invaluable contributions and commitment of taxpayers in fulfilling their civic responsibility of paying their taxes diligently.

Recognizing that the taxpayers are the lifeblood of the FCT IRS, Mr Haruna said the Service would soon recognize individuals and organisations for dedication to their tax obligations.

According to him, the recognition would go a long way to motivate others as well as spur people to imbibe the culture of compliance as responsible citizens.

He pledged commitment to continue to provide efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric services.

Haruna added that the Service is committed to creating an enabling atmosphere for staff members by providing the necessary support and infrastructure required, as well as building their capacity to equip them for the task ahead.

“We understand that a motivated and empowered workforce is essential in delivering exceptional service to our taxpayers. Thus, by nurturing a supportive work environment, we would ensure that our dedicated team perform their duties with utmost professionalism”.

“The FCT-IRS is determined to equip our personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver services that meet global standards…to match up to the evolving landscape of service delivery, ensuring that our taxpayers receive the best possible assistance with their tax matters.” Haruna said.
