The Federal Government has declared Monday, 2nd October 2023 as a public holiday in commemoration of Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr. Oluwatoyin Akinlade in a statement on Thursday says the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo made the declaration in Abuja.
“Dr. Olubunmi assures Nigerians of the Government’s continued commitment to tackling the challenges facing the country. It is today a known fact that difficult Socio-Economic and Security challenges are global & Nigeria is not isolated.”
According to the statement, the Minister however says the Government is daily making efforts to confront these varied & numerous challenges with all the might available until respite comes our way.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo reiterates that the eminent position of Nigeria in the Comity of Nations and the greatness ahead of the country is achievable if we all work together in unity.
