Minister Of Water Resources Tasks Staff On Regular Eye Check

Regular eye examination is important because having one’s vision corrected can improve the quality of day-to-day life.

This was the advise of the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev to staff of the ministry during a free eye testing and treatment in Abuja,

According to Professor Utsev routine eye examinations is vital because of the fundamental role that eyesight plays in human life and the capacity to make significant contributions to one’s immediate community and the nation.

“The eye is very fundamental in the human body. If you are blind, your contribution to life, your contribution to the country, your contribution to your immediate community will be impaired.” He added.

The Minister explained that taking care of the eyes not only benefits individual’s health but also contributes to the economic well-being of the entire family.

He urged staff to seek immediate medical attention when facing eye challenges stressing that delay could be dangerous.

The Minister pledged to collaborate with Tulsi Chanrai Foundation Eye Hospital, on the Ministry’s WASH program, and other health-related matters.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of the Tulsi Chanrai Foundation Eye Hospital, Mr. Shravan Kumar Kasam urged individuals to promptly seek medical attention if the need arises.
