Group Commends Tinubu For Appointing Wike As FCT Minister

A Group, Progressives Alliance Movement, PAM, has described the appointment of Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

The Coordinator of the Group, Prince Micheal Newgent Ekamon gave the commendation during a media conference in Abuja with the theme “Thumbs Up For His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Prince Ekamon said settlement of the second airport run way and payment of compensation of over 800 million for people of Jiwa, introduction of monthly sanitation exercise, strategies for improved infrastructure and IGR in the FCT among others as some of the notable interventions of Nyesom Wike within the period of taking over the affairs of the nation’s capital.

He equally commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing the right people to take charge of affairs in various Ministries noting that this would go a long way to achieve his eight point agenda for Nigerians.

The Coordinator however advised the President to equally appoint others who worked for his success at the polls into Boards of Parastatals and other vacant offices yet to be occupied.

According to him, the President has taken progressive decisions and actions within his 100 days in office aimed at realizing his Renewed Hope Agenda.

He also said removal of fuel subsidy, the five billion naira palliative to State Governments, Students Loan Scheme, Inauguration of Gwagwalada Independent Power Plant, GIPP, planned increase of judiciary workers salary and review of National Minimum Wage among others as some of the commendable steps taken so far by President Bola Tinubu.

Prince Ekamon therefore enjoined politicians and Nigerians to support the developmental programmes of President Bola Tinubu towards ensuring national development.

The Coordinator who equally said he feels the pains of Nigerians as a result of the fuel subsidy removal said that’s the way to go to enable the present administration source funds for developmental projects and put an end to the activities of cabal in the nation’s oil industry.

While urging President Bola Tinubu to deliver on his eight point agenda for Nigeria, Prince Ekamon stressed the need for all political office holders to be committed to the realization of the dream of the nation’s founding fathers.

He equally emphasized the need for all members of the Federal Executive Council and Heads of Agencies and Parastatals to key into the eight point agenda towards enhancing national development.
