The Deputy Director, Public Health Department, FCTA Mrs. Hauwa Suleiman, has called for effective collaboration among stakeholders to ensure adequate sensitization on preventative measures are put in the front burner to guard against emerging diseases in the territory.
She made the call when the advocacy team implementing Resilience Sustainable Health System in the FCT paid her a visit in Abuja.
Mrs Suleiman who said documentation of activities are key to record gains on previous outbreaks to serve as a guide in preventing emerging ones, applauded implementing partners for supporting the government to meet some of the needs of the health care centres especially at the grass roots.

While stressing that, the government cannot do it alone, Mrs Suleiman said the administration would embrace any meaningful collaboration aimed at improving government’s obligations for effective healthcare delivery in the territory.
Mrs Suleiman, solicited for more sensitization at the grassroots to ensure preventative measures such as regular hand washing are in the front burner to prevent existing and emerging diseases in the territory.
The team also visited the Deputy Director, Advocacy Communication for Social Mobilisation, FCT Primary Healthcare Board Mrs Elizabeth Ladipo, who commended the group for the intervention adding that the FCT administration would not relent in its effort to cooperate with advocacy groups such as the Civil Society for Malaria, Immunisation and Nutrition, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS, among others in kicking out diseases from communities in the territory.
