Bwari Area Council has reiterated its commitment to strengthen legislations that will improve service delivery of Primary Healthcare Centres in the Council.
The Deputy speaker of the council, Mr. Abdulmumuni Zakari made this known when the FCT Advocacy team implementing the Resilience Sustainable System for Health paid him a visit in Abuja.
Mr. Zakari who explained that Primary Healthcare remains key as the closest health care to the citizens especially at the grassroots said necessary legislations that would enhance their performance would be given priority.
Earlier, one of the implementing partners of the programme in Bwari council, Mrs. Beatrice Sina-Olulana highlighted some of the achievements so far through the advocacy of community based organisations programmes which included renovations of some toilets and provisions of consumables.
Other Bwari Area Council legislators including the Majority leader while appreciating the development partners pledged to collaborate with relevant stakeholders willing to support the government in achieving it’s mandate.
