Ooni of Ife Donates Medical Consumables, Generators At IDP Camp

Nigerians have been enjoined to use the festive period to help the needy particularly the internally displaced persons,IDP’s across the country.

The OOni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi made the call while donating medical consumables and generators to the IDP’s in Wasa camp, Abuja.

The Ooni of Ife was represented by Deputy chief convener Hope Alive Initiative, Temitope Adeshegun.

 

Presenting the items, Oba Ogunwusi who pointed out that the season was all about keeping hope alive, said the generators were meant to enable the IDP’s power the water borehole in the camp.

The team also gave money for the maintenance of the generators and promised frequent monitoring to ensure sustainability.

In a remark the women leader of Wasa IDP camp, Mrs Lydia Haruna thanked Hope Alive Initiative team for reckoning with them this festive period.

Kapital FM correspondent Remi Johnson reports that, educational materials such as exercise books, pens, pencils, eraser, sharpners and school bags were also donated to the children at the Wasa IDP camp.
