Nigeria: Political Parties Seek Use Of Technology To Monitor Electoral Processes
Government at all levels have been urged support ideas that will allow Technology monitoring and conduct of election for free, fair and credible elections in the country.
The National Chairman of United Patriots, U P, Mr Chukwudi Ezeobika Made the call while featuring on Kapital FM current affairs programme , Politics Today on the topic “the need to improve on the conduct of elections in the country as Edo goes to polls this Saturday”.
Mr Ezeobika said if technology was deployed to monitor and conduct elections it would go a long way in addressing all forms of electoral malpractices in Nigeria.
He maintained that early arrival of voting materials by INEC would reduce over crowding and reduce the spread of COVID 19.
Also speaking on the programme, the National Chairman African Democratic Congress, ADC, Chief Ralph Nwosu advised Politicians to desist from acts capable of disrupting the Peace and unity of the state.
Chief Nwosu urged political office holders not to see wining elections as a do or die affairs rather to play politics by the rule of the game.
He therefore called on security Agencies to be professional and protect lives and property of citizens of the state during and after the elections.
The ADC party chairman appealed to residents of the state to come en-mass and vote credible candidate of their choice to fast-track development in the state.
