Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State say they will embark on seven days peaceful protest to demand for the alleged stolen governorship mandate.
The stakeholders gave the warning during a peaceful procession in Karu, Nasarawa state to drive home its observations of irregularities during the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).
Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders forum, the convener and head, coalition for Emmanuel Ombugadu, Mr Emmanuel Owoicho noted that the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Emmanuel Ombugadu won nine local governments out of the thirteen local governments in the state and wondered why the electoral umpire would declare the candidate of the All Progressive Congress Candidate as winner who only won four local government areas in the state.
He called on INEC to retrace its steps and toe the path of peace and justice and correct its declaration of the March 18th Governorship election in the state.
Mr. Owoicho maintained that the party will continue to toe the path of peace and justice and seek legal redress to reclaim the party’s mandate .
