FCT Administration To Commission Abuja Rail Mass Transit On Thursday

The Federal Capital Territory Administration Says all is now set to commission the Abuja Rail Mass transit for Usage.

The Fct Transport Secretary, Comrade Kayode Opeifa stated this during a press briefing ahead of the commissioning scheduled to hold tomorrow in Abuja.

Comrade Opeifa expressed joy over the successful completion of lots 1A and 3 of the rail project .

He noted that the provision of FCT commuter rail was crucial for seamless sustainable integration of the satellite towns into the metropolitan public transport system.

The FCT Transport Secretary expressed optimism that the rail when put to use would reduce travel time, provide residents with efficient and safe transportation system to and from work as well as provide mass movement of people and goods between satellite towns and the Federal Capital City.
