Cleric Seeks More Interventions To Check Youth Restiveness

Politicial office holders have been urged to come up with new initiatives to address unemployment rather than mobilising Youths as political thugs for 2023 General Election.

The Vicar of Saint Mathew Anglican Church Maitama Abuja Venerable Ephraim Akanya who gave the advice during the annual Thanksgiving Service of the Church expressed concern over the increasing number of unemployed yourhs said if the situation was not urgently addressed would pose a threat to National Peace.

Venerable Akanya while acknowledging the global economy challenge appealed to elected and appointed political office holders to create a condusive environment for commercial activities to thrive and place national interest above personal ambition.

The Guest Preacher Venerable Festus Nwafili however stressed the need for Youths to use their numerical strength to bring the needed change and change the narrative that going abroad for greener pasture was the solution

The Anglican Priest was optimistic that Nigeria was a special project in the hands of God hence every citizen must remain united, work against corruption and contribute to nation building.

Venerable Nwafili emphasized that Christains must always be submissive and depend on God”s intervention at all times.

The Chairman planning committee of the program, Sir Oghenekharo Jocky said the Church would continue to strive for the spiritual and physical development of Nigerians through its various empowerment initiatives.

The theme of the program was: Harvest of Grace for Clear Distinction and Visible Difference
