Amac Chairman Denies Weighty Allegations Leveled Against Him

The FCT Residents have been urged to disregard allegations of mismanagement of funds leveled against the Amac Chairman, Alhaji Adamu candido by some aggrieved groups.

The chairman of Amac. Alhaji Adamu Candido who made the at a news conference in Abuja, Explained that the allegation was aimed at tarnishing his image and the good work that he was been doing in the council.

“Some of the protest you see around are work of some paymasters and are political motivated. I will not commercialize this area council to please anyone.”

“I paid N800million debt owed by my predecessors. If I can do that for the past administration, why can’t I do that for mine. It’s because we are constraint by funds”

Alhaji Candido who also said that he would not be distracted by the groups, promised to continue to provide dividends of democracy to the people.

“The issue of Disregard of public procurement and appropriation act and contracts not being advertised and being to awarded to family members is false adding that the area council is open to all citizens of the area council to bid for contracts.”

The Amac Chairman who said it was good to criticize any government, pledged to continue to develop the twelve wards of the council.

The chairman commended the protesters who were at the councils HQ to protest what they describe as disregard of public procurement.
