FCT Election : NSCDC Commits To Rancour Free Polls

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has reaffirmed commitment to uphold integrity during and after today’s FCT Council Elections.

The FCT Commandant of the Corps, Dr Olusola Odumosu stated this in Abuja While addressing officers and men that will monitor Elections in the six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory.

Dr Olusola Odumosu who admonished the personnel to be of good behaviour, also urged them to ensure that the election is rancour free.

“My charge as always is that you remain professional, remain non partisan, you belong to no political party, our job is security, protect humans and infrastructure “.

We have deployed our officers across all the polling units, your duty is for you to work in synergy with other agencies to provide a peaceful exercise, you have a shared purpose, no compromise, I don’t want to hear that you worked for any political party or candidate, if you notice any situation in the field, we have our Crack Squad on the ground for rapid intervention “.

“Don’t assist any voter to vote, I don’t want to hear that ” he said he didn’t know the parties or couldn’t see well, and then you will now help him, steer clear of anything that will send wrong signals, at the end we want the FCT Command to be adjudged very professional”.

The Commandant pledged the Corp’s commitment towards ensuring a free, fair and credible FCT Area Council Elections.
