Galadima Backs Gov. Kefas’ APC Alignment

todayFebruary 2, 2026

Background

A former Director with the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Mukhtar Usman Galadima, has described Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba”s alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a strategic move capable of attracting more Federal projects and delivering greater dividends of democracy to the state.

Speaking with journalists, Galadima praised Governor Kefas as a smart and dynamic leader whose decision to work closely with the federal government reflects a genuine commitment to innovation, development, and the welfare of Taraba people.

According to him, aligning with the ruling party at the centre places Taraba State in a better position to access critical infrastructure, social interventions, and development initiatives that will positively impact the lives of citizens.

Galadima, who is aspiring to represent Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, said his decision to seek elective office was driven by the absence of participatory democracy and effective representation in his constituency.

He stressed that elected officials must consistently engage with their constituents and ensure that governance is people-oriented.

Lamenting the situation in Wukari/Ibi, Galadima noted that while many constituencies across the country are benefiting from constituency projects, his constituency has remained largely neglected.

He expressed confidence that his years of service at the FCTA, coupled with the extensive network of contacts he built over time, have equipped him with the experience and capacity to attract meaningful development to the area.

Appealing to the people of Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency, Galadima called for their support, assuring them that collective effort and purposeful leadership would bring about the desired transformation.

He also observed that despite being richly endowed with agricultural potential, the constituency continues to face economic hardship, a situation he believes can be reversed with effective representation.

Galadima expressed optimism that if elected, Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency would experience a new dawn marked by inclusive governance, development, and improved living standards.
