Former Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, has called for increased grassroots participation in the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ugwumba Nwosu stated this while revalidating his membership in Nkwerre Local Government Area, in Imo state.
The exercise, held at Eziama Obaire Ward, forms part of the party’s ongoing electronic registration initiative designed to update its membership records and strengthen internal coordination.
Speaking during the exercise, Nwosu described the revalidation process as a strategic step towards deepening internal democracy and ensuring that party structures remain active and inclusive.
He encouraged residents, particularly young people, to take advantage of the registration to become more involved in political activities at all levels.
The former governorship candidate also addressed rumours of a possible defection, maintaining that he remains fully committed to the APC and its ideals.
Party leaders and community stakeholders who attended the event noted that the exercise reflects renewed mobilisation efforts ahead of future political engagements in the state.
