The Senior Pastor First Baptist Church Garki Abuja Reverend Tom Tampatore has appealed to residents of the Federal Capital Territory to participate fully in the forthcoming February FCT Area Council Election.
Addressing the congregation at the end of the Annual Twenty one Day fasting and Prayer known as “White Robe Sunday” Service, Pastor Tom Tampatore said the election will provide another opportunity for residents to exercise their franchise and choose leaders of their choice.
The Baptist Cleric stressed the need for Residents who participated in the last Voter Registration exercise to visit INEC degisnated areas and collect their Permanent Voter Cards.
He also appealed to leaders of political parties to educate their followers on the need to refrain from thuggery and maintain peace and order during the ongoing electioneeering.
He urged those in authority to lead with the fear of God and put the interest of the masses as number One.
According to him, leaders must make sacrifices and place priority on the welfare of the citizens for peace to reign in the country .
Reverend Tom Tampatore assured that the church used the twenty one days fasting and Prayer to seek divine intervention to the challenges in the country and believe that 2026 will be a better year.
A Deacon in the Church, Bassey Effiong said the annual program provided opportunity for all members to table all their requests before God.
