Put Your Trust In God In 2026 – Ndukuba Urges Nigs

todayJanuary 1, 2026

Background

Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba wants Nigerians to put their total trust in God to attract blessings and favour in the year 2926.

Addressing the congregation during the New Year Service at the Cathedral Church of Advent Life Camp Abuja, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba said the New Year comes with a lot of blessings and challenges but expressed believe that the ongoing reforms of the Federal Government would yield positive results.

He urged Nigerians to be patriotic as the government alone cannot deliver the dividends of democracy.

According to him, “2026 will be a year that requires divine wisdom. Not just any how, action. Because this year is a year that will be controlled by strategies”.

“Internationally, nationally, in the church, in the family, everywhere. And therefore, the word of the Lord to us this year is, it shall be for us the year of the counsel of the Almighty God,”

Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba also appealed to Nigerians to live a life that glorifies God in modesty and diligent service.

The Primate said 2026 will mark the unfolding of God’s eternal plan for Nigeria and its people, urging all to align with this divine purpose.

Ndukuba stressed further that, “in this year, God will unfold his eternal plan and purpose for our nation Nigeria, for our families, and for us as individuals. And therefore, the best that we can do is to key into God’s eternal plan, which he made and which he spoke of right from our very, very, beginning, even before the fall of man.”

Taking his Bible passage from Genesis 1:26-28 he said that the scripture underscores mankind’s God-given dominion and blessing.

Therefore, he said, “the year we are stepping into, we need divine counsel, by which God will bring back to us whatever the enemy has stolen and taken away or destroyed.”

The Anglican Primate assured that better days are ahead as God will restore the lost glory of the country.

The new year service featured a special prayer session for the country.
