2026: CG VGN Congratulates Nigerians, Pledges Renewed Efforts In Tackling Insecurity

The Commander General of Vigilante Group of Nigeria,VGN, Dr Usman Mohammed Jahun has congratulated Nigerians most especially officers and men of the Group for making it to the year 2026

In his New Year message, Dr Usman Jahun described last year as most challenging for the country and its citizens.

He therefore expressed the hope that with God, the year 2026 would be better and Nigeria would overcome its security and economic challenges.

The Commander General therefore stressed the need for all Nigerians most especially the political class to be committed to the realization of the dreams of the nation’s founding fathers in 2026 towards repositioning the country for greatness

He used the opportunity to restate the commitment and support to President Bola Tinubu and Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Umar Namadi’s led administrations towards actualizing its renewed hope agenda for Nigerians in the area of security.

According to him, the VGN will in 2026 embark on more capacity training for its officers and men in the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT towards boosting their productivity in the area of security at the Grassroots.

He thanked the Military, the Police, DSS, Office of the NSA, NSCDC, NDLEA, Customs, Immigration and other critical stakeholders for their support and collaboration last year and solicited more assistance to enable VGN achieve its mandate.

Dr. Usman Jahun equally appealed for more support from the State and Local Governments in the area of logistics to aid the fight against banditry, kidnapping, boko haram, terrorism and other forms of insecurity confronting the country.

While wishing Nigerians most especially officers and men of VGN nationwide a Happy and Prosperous New Year, Dr. Usman Jahun prayed God to bless everyone in their endeavours and grant them the grace to witness more years in good health.
