Reps To Reconvene On Wednesday After Progress In Budget, Contractors’ Talks

The House of Representatives will reconvene for plenary on Wednesday November 5, 2025, contrary to the earlier resolution to adjourn sittings until Tuesday next week.

The decision follows progress in talks between government officials and stakeholders over issues that prompted the initial adjournment particularly unpaid contractors and delays in the release of funds under the 2024/2025 budget.

In an internal memo, the Clerk of the House, Dr Yahaya Danzaria, informed members that the leadership intends to brief them on the outcomes of these engagements and other pressing national matters.

At Wednesday’s session, the House is expected to formally reverse its earlier adjournment to allow legislative activities to continue.

The leadership urged all members to ensure their attendance.
