FFS : Group Donates Items To Bolster Fire Fighting

A group known as Friends of the newly appointed Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Olumode Samuel Adeyemi have donated items worth thousands of naira to bolster service delivery in Fire fighting.

Presenting the items at the service headquarters in Abuja, leader of the group Aliyu Hammed said the gesture was to strengthen the welfare and morale of firemen across the Service.

According to him, the initial plan was to host the Controller General to a dinner but the CG insisted that the funds be channelled towards his deep commitment to the welfare of his officers.

” We came today not just to celebrate the Controller General but to honour his selfless directive that all gestures be directed towards the welfare of his men. This donation is a reflection of our support for his leadership and vision for the Federal Fire Service “.

Responding, the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service Samuel Adeyemi expressed appreciation to the group for their solidarity and generosity and promised to make judicious use of the items.

He reiterated his unwavering passion for the welfare of officers and men noting that the work in the Fire Service is not just a duty to humanity but also to God.

” I deeply thank you for believing in our vision and remembering the men who bear the responsibility of safeguarding lives and property. The cancellation of any reception in my honour was deliberate, my greatest priority is the wellbeing of my officers. May God richly reward you for this gesture “.

Items donated by the group include 50 raincoats, 100 mattresses, 100 coveralls, 10 walkie-talkies, 50 Rainboats, 20 Torchlights, and 20 Umbrellas.
