Free Education For Indigent Females – Asefon Commends Jigawa Govt

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Students Engagement, Asefon Sunday has commended Governor Umar Danmodi of Jigawa state for implementation of free education for all indigent females from primary to higher institutions.

Sunday gave the commendation during a 5-day official visit to the state.

A statement signed by him in Abuja also appreciates the governor for creating a board for out-of-school children to have both Islamic and Western Education as well as purchase of Free JAMB forms and a 100% increment in local and foreign scholarships.

“Governor Danmodi has achieved impressive milestones, including employing over 9,000 youths, relocating 180 students from Sudan to Near East University in Cyprus, and sending 50 students to China for mechanized farming and tractor repair training” he adds.

“The Governor has invested so much in technical and vocational education, establishing vocational schools and has also launched the “DANMODI STUDENT CARE” initiative, providing medical outreach and palliatives to Nigerian students” Sunday stresses.

“I commend Governor Umar for believing in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which has positively impacted the student community in Jigawa” the Senior Special Assistant emphasizes.

According to the statement, on his part, Governor Umar Danmodi praises president Tinubu’s policies, which aligns with his administration’s 12-point agenda.

He emphasizes the importance of investing in education, citing it as the best legacy a government can give.

According to the statement during the official engagement, the senior Special Assistant also met with students of the Ganduje Foundation, the Emir of Dutse and the student community to review the Federal government educational programs in the state.
