In a swift response to recent erroneous reports, the Defence Headquarters has vehemently refuted claims of the demise of the Chief of Defence Staff CDS, General Christopher Musa.
This is contained in a statement by the Director Defence Information Brigadier General Tukur Gusau in Abuja.
According to the statement,
the online newspaper responsible for the publication has since retracted the story, acknowledging its lack of credibility.
It notes that General Musa, currently in robust health, has returned from an official assignment abroad and resumed his duties with renewed vigour.
The Defence Headquarters commends his unwavering commitment and unique leadership style, aimed at advancing the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
The statement further notes the unfortunate and unethical nature of the initial report and expresses gratitude for the online newspaper’s retractions and unreserved apology to General Musa, his family, and the entire Armed Forces.
The Defence Headquarters urges the public to disregard the false information, assuring everyone that General Christopher Musa is alive and well, dedicated to serving the nation.
