Imo Protest : NLC Chairman Arrested

The President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero has been whisked away by the Police at the ongoing protest in Imo state.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Head of Media of the NLC, Comrade Benson Upah in Abuja.

According to the statement miscreants descended on the protesters, smashing vehicles and inflicting wounds on them.

The statement says the whereabouts of the NLC President is unknown as heavily armed security personnel took him away.
