IGP Decorates 31 Newly Promoted Officers

Twelve newly promoted Assistant Inspectors General of Police and nineteen Commissioners of Police in Nigeria have been decorated with their new ranks by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun.

While decorating the new senior officers in Abuja, the IGP said that the act was in recognition of their hard work and selfless service to the nation.

The Police Boss charged them to consistently uphold the core principles of service, sacrifice, and selflessness in carrying out their duties.

The IGP also praised their unwavering dedication and hard work, which led to their well-deserved promotions, especially their exceptional commitment to upholding law and order in their respective areas of responsibility.

The Inspector General of Police expressed his gratitude to the Police Service Commission for their meticulous and unbiased assessment of the officers’ performances.

The event was attended by the Governors of Abia, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Kogi, and Lagos States, as well as members of the Force Management Team, other senior police officers, the officers’ family members and loved ones.
