The Nigeria Electrification Project, funded by the World Bank has deployed over one hundred mini grids across the country.
Speaking during the 10th Mini-Grid roundtable discussion, the Managing Director, Rural Electrification Agency, Mr Ahmad Salihjoh Ahmad said the project provided electricity for households and businesses in underserved areas.
Mr Ahmad expressed the Agency’s commitment in bridging the energy access deficit in Nigeria and implementing various electricity programmes to enhance quality of life of Nigerians.
He said that over two hundred and thirty thousand households and businesses in underserved areas have been provided with reliable electricity through the Project.
The Head REA Project Management Unit, Abba Aliyu also emphasized the transformative nature of the project which is to.provide electricity to communities.
