The Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Christopher Maikalangu, has tasked the newly inaugurated members of the Youth Progressive Forum (YPF) to be open to advise to achieve set objectives.
This is contained in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant on public affairs to the Chairman, Mr Kingsley Madaki in Abuja.
According to the statement, the pressure group was instituted by some top political officers in the FCT led by Senator Phillip Aduda aimed at fighting political ills and injustices for good governance and delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people.
It states that Maikalangu, promised to contribute towards the success of the forum.
The statement says that the AMAC Boss urged the forum to do all within its power to achieve its goals by check mating activities of politicians for accountability and transparency.
It emphasizes that Maikalangu also called on members to come up with new ideas that will take the forum to an enviable height.
According to the statement, the Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman, Mr Danjuma Samuel, explains that the YPF has been in existence for16 years and proud of its achievements so far.
The statement says though the forum faced many challenges, it was able to surmount them and today it has been registered with the CAC and poised to focus on its mandate.
It however stresses that Mr Samuel further said that the former Exco members, who were faulted for alledged financial misappropriation will be summoned to give account of their tenure and sanctioned if found guilty.
According to the statement, the new Chairman of YPF, Adamu Dan Damihir, promised to do everything possible to achieve the objectives of the forum.
