Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba has called on the Federal Government to urgently address the plight of Nigerian workers and effects of the fuel subsidy removal on Citizens to avoid break down of law and order.

Addressing the Anglican Lawyers, Registrars and Chancellors in Abuja, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba said the current economic situation was becoming unbearable as most small and medium scale businesses have totally collapsed.

He said the current salaries of Nigerian workers can only cater for their transportation while others could no longer afford one meal in a day.

Archbishop Ndukuba also stressed the need for government to cut down its running cost and give special attention to infrastructural and human development.

According to him, the current allowances for political office holders must be looked into and corruption checked to enable the government provide dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

The Anglican Primate challenged the Judiciary to redeem its image to regain public confidence.

According to the Primate, the Global community is watching how the Judiciary will address litigations arising from the last general election.

He urged the Church Lawyers and Registrars to assist the down trodden and the church in bringing needed reforms to the nation’s constitution.
