HOS Decries Violation Of Recruitment Waivers By MDAs

The Head of Aervice of the Federation, Mrs Folashade Yemi-Esan, says many Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government have violated the recruitment waivers given to them by her office.

Mrs Yemi-Esan disclosed this in Abuja, when she appeared before the House of Representatives adhoc committee investigating mismanagement of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System,IPPIS,

She stated that her office has a department under the permanent secretary special duties that goes round to monitor compliance with waivers, but that due shortage of manpower, the department could not fully carry out its mandate.

The Head of Service explained that what they do is to select an establishment from each of the geopolitical zones to ensure that they don’t exceed the waivers.

Mrs Yemi-Esan warned that no agency can enroll into the IPPIS platform any staff it employs above the waiver.

The Head of Service refuted the allegation that her office recruited staff, explaining that they only have the mandate from the civil service commission to recruit junior staff that are on grade level one to six.
