Utilise Available Resources To Address Hardship – Primate Anglican Communion

Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Ndukuba has called on Federal and State Governments to judiciously utilise the available resources to address economic hardship, unemployment and high poverty in the country.

Addressing the congregation at the Anglican Church of Epiphany Garki Abuja, Archbishop Ndukuba expressed concern over the measures being proposed for the distribution of palliatives to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.

He said the palliatives would not get to the hands of ordinary people who are fighting hard to survive.

According to him Sixty Percent of the proposed Twelve Million Nigerians will not get the money being earmarked for the program.

The Anglican Primate also stressed the need for African Leaders to come together and stop relying and seeking foreign support to develop the continent.

He said that God has endowed the continent with enough resources to lift Africans from underdevelopment and abject poverty.

The Primate decried the recent statement made by Russian President that he will support African countries with grains and other food items to address poverty and hunger in the continent.

According to him, Africa does not need crumbs and remnants from foreign countries to develop the continent.

The Cleric reminded Leaders at all levels that they are stewards and would give account of their stewardship to God.
