Put In Place Modalities For Youths To Excel

The Federal Government has been urged to put in place the necessary modalities for Nigerian youths and women to excel in their endeavors towards enhancing national peace and development.

A cross-section of Nigerian Youths made the call in Abuja during an interactive session, titled “Unite Naija” organized by Radio Nigeria’s Online Radio, Click Nija.

The Head of “Click Naija” online Radio and convener of the interactive session said the program was aimed at brainstorming on how to address the core challenges bedeviling the nation especially among youths.

Guest panelists from different sectors of the economy shared divergent views on the expectations of Nigerians from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Some of the participants who were mainly youths expressed concern over challenges confronting the country and therefore stressed the need for the present administration to put necessary measures in place towards improving the wellbeing of Nigerian Youths most especially on job creation.

A guest speaker and the youngest candidate in the 2023 House of Representatives election, Juliet Ikhayere was of the opinion granting autonomy of local governments and judicious use of revenue generated will reduce the burden on the state and federal governments and also curb the high rate of migration among youths in country.

On his part, the Youths Country Representatives in the United Nation’s Regional Working Group on Women, Youths, Peace and Security in Africa and the Sahel, Mr Andy Iji called on the federal government to be more strategic in dealing with the country’s internal security to safeguard lives and property of all Nigerians.

In a remark, the Director, Abuja Operations of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Alhaja Sherifat Ahmed who was represented by the General Manager Kapital Fm, Mrs Bukky Towuru advised Nigerian youths not to relent in their pursuit to greatness and shun social vices.

Other participants called on the Federal Government to take seriously human capacity development especially among the teeming youths for a better Nigeria.
