The Federal Government has restated its commitment to fostering an environment that will empower entrepreneurs, nurtures innovation, and attract investments.
The move aimed at improving the ease of doing business is contained in Executive Order No 1 of 18th May 2017.
As required, Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of Government MDAs are expected to publish the services they provide, as well as the requirement for accessing such services.
Speaking at the workshop on the guidelines for the incorporation of companies in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice Mrs Beatrice Jeddy-Agba stated that the guidelines are designed to achieve consistency in the processing of applications for the mandatory authority, stakeholders, including members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Corporate Affairs Commission, promoters of companies limited guarantee and others.
Agba who doubles as the Solicitor General of the Federation added the guidelines, is the first of its kind in Nigeria have therefore been produced to cover a wide range of issues connected with the subject matter
She then assured that special care has been taken to address the challenges and issues commonly associated with the processing of applications for the Attorney-General’s authorization.
On her part, the Director of the Solicitors Department, Mrs. Gladys Odegbaro described the workshop as an avenue to deepen understanding of the regulatory framework governing companies limited by guarantee and to promote a seamless registration process.
She thereafter urged participants to ensure that their organizations operate in full compliance with the law while maintaining transparency and accountability.
