Niger : NEMA Identifies Shiroro, Others As Flood Risk Areas

The National Emergency Management Agency , NEMA has described Mokwa, Shiroro, Lavun and Borgu local government areas of Niger state as High Flood Risk Areas.

The statement further states that Edati, Gbako, Wushishi, Rafi, Mashegu, Magama and Anwara local government areas will experience moderate flood Risk.

It calls on the people in these areas and the state government to put in place measures to avoid loss of lives and property.

It therefore advises people living in flood Risk Areas to relocate to higher grounds
