WLIN Advocates More Women Inclusion In Politics

Women Leadership Institute Network,WLIN, has called for more Women inclusion in Leadership positions in Government.

The call was made at the 6th Anniversary of the Women Leadership Institute and the 1st Anniversary of the Women Leadership Institute Network event, with the Theme “Lift her, Lift all” in Abuja.

Declaring the programme open Professor Seth Koks Akutson who highlighted the roles of women in nation building said it was impressive to see women at the forefront instead of behind the scenes and encouraged them not to relent in their efforts.

In a welcome address, the Executive Chairman and Founder of Women Leadership Institute & Women Leadership Institute Network, Amb .Kema Chinwe,
said the massive development of the Institute in the last six years had been achieved with the assistance of some other Organisations.

“Women Leadership Institute and Women Leadership Institute Network has really helped alot of students and housewives who have been mentored by the institute”

She added that the institute went extra miles last year to introduce women’s institute Network in order to reach out to women at all levels across the states

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, Former Minister of Mines and Steels, Becky Igwe, among others.

Highlights of the event were Poem recitation, Documentary presentation and the official launching of the “Girls Leadership Circle and Empower Her Program”.
